About the event
The Tide Project is an inspiring multi-arts, creative experience taking up residency at Calstock Arts Centre, a community arts space located in a beautifully converted chapel on the banks of the river Tamar in Cornwall, on 18th and 19th July 2026.
Join Cornish singing group, Meadow Voices, and local artists as we take you on a journey through water - via rivers and tides and the open ocean. Songs, words and artwork will entice you to explore the depth of water and its importance and power throughout our lives. Water is life and life is water...
The story of this project began with a beautiful glass sculpture entitled ‘Tide’ created by Cornish artist, Gill Mannings Cox. Local mindful photographer, Debbie Geraghty, was commissioned to capture some images of ‘Tide’. Those exquisite photographs deepened the experience of the sculpture and became moments of artistic reflection in their own right.
