About

Forget-me-not Chorus uses the power of song to make a real difference to those living with and alongside dementia.

We work in the community, in care homes, in hospitals and online to run weekly singing sessions led by music leaders to support people living with and alongside dementia.

Our aim is to bring joy and laughter to those living with or alongside dementia. Every one of our music leaders and pianist is deeply inspired by music, and we want to share our passion for singing, in a setting where everyone can feel happy contributing, whatever their ability.

Through our community choirs, we hope to foster a sense of worth, and enrich the lives of those affected by dementia – by creating a new group of friends to belong to. We also have twenty ‘Singing Strong’ care home choirs and one hospital choir, our team of talented musicians reaches over 1000 people a week. Those who benefit are of all ages, and include those with young-onset dementia and Alzheimer’s, their families, and those who care for them.

We also offer a library of free pre-recorded singing sessions, specially designed singing services for care homes, and regular live community singing sessions open to anyone living with or alongside dementia.
